As part of the brilliant & talented Brambles Data & Analytics team, reporting directly to the Director of Analytics & Data Science for AMETA (APAC + IMETA), you will lead the development of delivery methodologies, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation of data science projects.
This position can either be based in Sydney, Australia or South Africa (DUR / JNB).
What You’ll Do:
Leadership and Team Management:
Recruit, retain, and develop a team of Delivery & Translation leads.Set standards, drive behaviors, and create frameworks for team operations.Mentor and coach team members to enhance their professional skills.Project Management:
Implement Agile / Waterfall PM practices, ensuring efficient project delivery.Manage project timelines, milestones & deliverables using tools JIRA, Confluence, and Lucid.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary liaison between project teams and stakeholders.Communicate project status, risks, and achievements clearly and consistently.Work with stakeholders to define, refine, and prioritize opportunities.Analytics Translation:
Bridge the gap between business goals and advanced analytics possibilities.Define analytical use cases and translate business needs into data and analytical requirements.Ensure insights and recommendations from analytics are actionable and understandable.Process Improvement and Innovation:
Continuously identify and implement improvements in project delivery processes.Encourage innovation and experimentation within teams to find new solutions.Develop and maintain a service delivery framework to guide project execution.Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.Conduct audits to ensure data integrity, security, and governance.What will ensure your success in the Role:
Educational Background: Relevant qualifications such as PSM1/CSM/A-CSM, PSPO1/CSPO/A-CSPO, ICP, ICP-APM, PMBOK, or BABOK.Extensive Experience: Proven track record in project management, business analysis, and Agile implementation.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools. Experience with data management, software development, and analytics.Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership skills to guide, motivate, and support the team.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to tackle complex problems and implement effective solutions.Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively with colleagues and stakeholders.Innovation and Adaptability: A creative and flexible mindset to drive continuous improvement and adapt to changing project requirements.
