This position will work safely at all times and assist in the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and soil amendments, repair and maintenance of golf course maintenance equipment and golf car rental fleet, as well as maintenance, operation, and repair of the irrigation system. Supervisory responsibilities include assisting in scheduling, directing, and leading Golf Greens staff to complete daily maintenance, training other employees on equipment operation, chemical use, Personal Protective Equipment, and other golf course maintenance practices. The Golf Maintenance Lead is expected to communicate regularly with the Director of Maintenance, Superintendent, and Golf Pro Shop staff to discuss upcoming maintenance activities, and to assist in completion of course improvement projects and cultural practices.
