**The Opportunity:**
CACI is looking for an experienced Computer Systems Engineer Team Lead with expertise in **technical management, computing infrastructure design and lifecycle maintenance, cyber security, and networks** to lead our Computer Systems Engineering team supporting NASA's human-rated spacecraft systems in support of our Nation’s space exploration initiative at NASA / Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX. Candidates should have leadership experience and a strong background in Linux, networking, computer system design, familiarity with Windows and cybersecurity, and, most of all, possess a great passion to contribute to our Nation’s exploration of space.
The candidate will lead a team that provides a range of computer systems support to NASA at the Johnson Space Center including user support, security management, network design and operation, account management and provisioning, operation of IT infrastructure services, computing equipment setup, and subject matter expertise for NASA projects.
In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, possess strong customer relationship skills, have a positive team-player attitude, and be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise. Finally, the most qualified candidate will be an articulate speaker able to communicate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner, must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program, and share in the excitement of developing the next human-rated space vehicles.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead team of computer systems engineers who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
+ Write technical progress reports and manage contract deliverables.
+ Write and update IT and cybersecurity Data Requirements Documents.
+ Provide system design, maintenance, and modernization guidance to the NASA customer for the data center environment and 20+ lab environments across two Divisions and six Branches in the Johnson Space Center Engineering Directorate.
+ Write IT policy and procedure documents for NASA customer organizations that align with Agency and Directorate requirements. Write internal Computer Systems Engineering team policies and procedures. Design and implement continuous improvements in processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
+ Work with NASA service provider organizations to utilize available enterprise services in data center and lab environments.
+ Represent direct NASA customers in Directorate and Agency working groups.
+ Collaborate with information system owners, lab managers, and project leads on annual IT budgets. Manage purchase of IT equipment, software licenses, and warranties.
+ Work with robotic, space vehicle, and simulation development teams to design computer systems and configuration baselines that meet NASA security standards and project requirements.
+ Generate, review, and update cyber security documents such as security plans, interconnection agreements, network diagrams, disaster recovery plans, risk assessments, continuous monitoring reports, waivers, and incident reports.
**Qualifications:**
_Required:_
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines required.
+ Technical leadership experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer oriented, fast paced environment supporting Computer Systems Engineering activities. Greater experience is valued.
+ Have strong knowledge of computer systems architecture including networking, operating systems, storage, and cybersecurity.
+ Ability to document system process and architecture. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
+ Be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment, and possess strong technical expertise combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ This is a Moderate Risk, Non-Sensitive Public Trust Position. Candidate must be able to pass an OPM Tier II background evaluation.
_Desired:_
+ Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Cyber Security, or Graduate level coursework or research involving information systems or cyber security.
+ Experience with NASA, DoD, or other federal government security compliance. Familiarity with FISMA and NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Experience with IT security plan development, documentation, and assessment.
+ Project management skills or Project Management Professional certification.
+ IT certifications from organizations such as ITIL, Cisco, Red Hat, VMware, ISC2, or SANS.
+ Network design and administration experience including routing, switching, wireless, and network access control.
+ Software development and scripting skills with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other languages. Familiarity with Git version control.
+ Experience writing technical documentation and maintaining a knowledge base.
+ Experience with any of the following Linux distributions is a strong plus: Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux.
+ Experience working closely with software development teams and administration of software development tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and Docker.
+ Experience in any of the following is a plus: Service Now, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy, Puppet, Ansible, PowerShell, Tenable Security Center, HCL BigFix, Splunk, GitLab Continuous Integration, Jenkins, Apache web server, Nginx, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL. Experience in the NASA/JSC environment or other highly technical environment is a plus.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200 - 158,100 USD
