Team Lead - R&A

About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to join the R&A Studio team and impact the Gartner client experience. The successful candidate will help define, drive, and innovate the end-to-end delivery of must-have research content, supporting and communicating our best practice, insight-driven research in compliance with Gartner’s high-quality standards. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly creative problem solver to lead a team of writers. In this role, you will lead and manage associates as they develop insights-driven research that conveys Gartner’s expert guidance. You will also oversee work on tools that enable faster, smarter decisions and stronger performance in support of our clients’ most critical priorities. A primary focus of this position will be to supervise and develop the team and manage key stakeholder projects and relationships. The position balances content, strategy, and people management responsibilities. Experience with performance management, coaching, and strategically influencing content are good to have skills.

What you will do:

Lead, manage, coach, and mentor a small team of (4-5) writers of various tenures, backgrounds, and experience levels.Guide the team as they project manage and produce high-quality deliverables in line with department and firm benchmarks.Manage concurrent special projects and initiatives while maintaining high quality, creative innovation, content development and continuous performance improvement.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, direct reports, and peer groups.Influence strong product outcomes, guided by overall Gartner brand and voice.Mitigate risk on projects by creating contingency plans and recommending solutions, proactively engaging in problem solvingServe as a thought partner to the leadership and help shape the strategy of the team by identifying and driving innovations in line with the goals of the team and GartnerRelated duties as assigned

What you will need:

College degree in a journalism/creative writing or closely related discipline4+ years experience in a creative services environment or editorial or writing team3-5 years experience as an editor or writer required; 1-2 years of experience as a senior preferredExcellent oral and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levelsAbility to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-based environmentGood understanding of editorial processes, and working knowledge of publishing environmentsProficiency with Microsoft PowerPointProficiency with data analytic tools like PowerBi, Advance Excel are good to have skillsPrior work experience of working on remote/international teams are an added bonus#LI-LB1

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 97,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
