Job Summary:
Provide shift supervision of the GTLC Health Safety and Security Department promoting an environment that reflects the company’s commitment to quality guest service and high standards. Department services fall into the areas of fire, life safety, industrial safety, and security and include 24-hour coverage in guest areas/activities and employee housing. Oversee the daily operations of the Health Safety and Security Department, which provide 24 hour per day / 7 day per week coverage to resort operations associated with GTLC maintaining a strong working knowledge of the daily job functions of Public Safety officers and develop and maintain an atmosphere of accountability and respect.

Job Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency situations in a prompt and professional manner, recognize that these types of emergencies cover a broad spectrum of situations and may include events that are traumatic and stressful. Promote a safe, productive, and enjoyable work environment. Supervise and delegate daily Security shift responsibilities, Safely and skillfully lead team projects and special assignments. Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external guest issues, requests and concerns. Participate in the development and maintenance of departmental training programs and standards. Maintain a strong working knowledge of other GTLC departments in order to assist them with issues that relate to security, loss prevention, risk management and safety concerns for both life and property. Foster and maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement groups and regulatory agencies. Promote an atmosphere of strong communication in all directions. Work with peers and management to accomplish overall departmental and company goals and objectives. Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent Possess the ability to maintain confidential information – both written and verbal Minimum three years’ experience in managing staff at supervisory level Possess a current certification in Basic First Aid, CPR/AED American Heart Association, Red-Cross, National Safety Council (must contain hands on skills training) Possess valid US state driver’s license, with a clean driving record Functional use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Basic written communication skills (grammar and spelling) Absence of criminal record. Absence of felony record Must present self professionally in all types of interaction including crowds Must be at least 21 years of age Bachelor’s Degree in any field Experience with security, loss prevention, risk management, fire and life safety, fire protection systems, alarm systems, and investigations Experience with emergency situation management Ability to prioritize and multi-task Current certification in Basic First Aid, CPR/AED

The expected pay range is $23.00 - $26.50. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
