Team Lead - Service Operations

We’re looking for a Service Team Lead for our business in Malaysia the main job function is to perform and oversee all mechanical and electrical engineering work related to planning, assembly/disassembly, repair and maintenance as well as installation / dismantling, commissioning & of all equipment and machinery of  Aggreko Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

What you’ll do:

Manage daily workshop operations, coordinating with departments and vendors, ensuring procedures are followed, and resolving complex issuesSupervise technical/support staff, assign workloads, and enforce policiesPrepare reports on labor hours, materials, and partsProvide technical advice to internal and external customersOversee maintenance and repair of rental fleet equipment (generators, load banks, transformers, etc.)Create, delegate, and approve workshop and project service ordersPlan and execute periodic equipment maintenance, ensuring system updatesBe available for short-notice travel and emergency response after hoursMaintain a clean, safe work area per HSE standards to prevent incidentsEnsure service team adherence to Aggreko Global Service Centre StandardsEnsure work meets technical, budget, quality, safety, and environmental standardsPerform additional tasks as needed

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

Minimally 3 years of experience managing a teamExcellent command of spoken & written in Malay & EnglishDiploma in any related engineering field with min. 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance or equivalentPractical, proactive, and self-disciplined with a hands-on approachStrong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer focusOpen to improving processes and challenging current practicesFlexible with working hours, including weekends and travel at short noticeReliable commuter, mature, and domestically secure
