PAKISTAN TOBACCO COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A TEAM LEAD VELO

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-management

FUNCTION: Operations

LOCATION: Jhelum

ROLE SUMMARY

The Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Equipment Owners on shift to achieve production targets while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires 95% on-floor engagement, utilizing IWS tools to drive process reliability, loss elimination, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR


Operations & Performance

Lead shift operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth machine runnability.Drive quality compliance, maintain product integrity, and support maintenance activities for timely execution.Ensure effective workforce deployment and shift planning for optimal operational efficiency.

Leadership & Team Development

Coach and develop Equipment Owners, fostering multi-skilling while leading the shift team through IWS implementation and capability building.Drive issue resolution, changeovers, and loss elimination strategies to enhance operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards at all times.

People & Relationship Management

Maintain positive engagement with the workforce, CBA representatives, and key stakeholders.Drive performance discussions, implement training plans, and manage disciplinary actions when needed.Ensure strong coordination with maintenance, quality, and HR teams for seamless operations.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred, with consideration for candidates from other disciplines.1- 2 years of experience in operations management preferred; fresh graduates with strong potential will also be considered.Knowledge of quality systems is an advantage.Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to drive performance, engage teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
