Team Leader, CIS

As a key member of the Commercial group, the Team Leader will lead the achievement of profitable growth of property & casualty business in our Commercial Insurance Specialty industry practice in the San Francisco and San Ramon territories. In addition, this position is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers, clients, and other relevant spheres of influence to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities in the Commercial Insurance Specialty industry practice. 

Responsibilities:

Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote and maintain profitable new and renewal P&C business Manage underwriting and rate strategies that garner profitability, promote book growth and lead to successful producer relationships. Develop and implement marketing plans with brokers and clients.  Coordinate production efforts with other Chubb underwriting lines of business to identify account expansion opportunities Will lead New Business and Renewal Meetings for the CIS Team Provide coaching and mentoring to a team of 2 Underwriters and 1 Chubb Associate Monitor rate, retention, KPIs and new business with assigned team; report results to CI manager on a quarterly basis, including tactics to close gaps to plan Mentor new CIS underwriters re: pipeline and cross sell process; monitor results Lead RUC cross-sell efforts across CI; establish and monitor metrics Assist CIS Manager with monitoring and reporting of results and identifying gaps/solutions Lead renewal meetings for CIS team Lead effort to share new underwriting strategies with CIS team Develop and implement marketing plans with brokers and clients of assigned team, including acting as Agency Coordinator

Requirements:

College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experience.At least 7-10 years of experience in commercial multi-line underwritingStrong sales and marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate successful agency and broker management, including building, maintaining and managing producer and customer relationshipsSuperior communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiating skillsKnowledge and proficiency with technical issues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies expectedPrevious management experience preferred Advanced computer skills preferred

The pay range for the role is $101,000 to $172,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
