UPMC Western Maryland is hiring a Team Lead for our Food Services Department! This is a full time position that will work rotating shifts week to week, including rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Prior supervisory experience in food service is strongly preferred!

 

Responsibilities:

 

Supervise Team: Oversee hourly associates, ensuring they adhere to all UPMC policies, procedures, and department standards. Inventory & Cash Security: Maintain the security of inventory and cash revenues. Training & Development: Orient, train, and coach new team members according to department guidelines. Food Safety: Routinely monitor the department’s food safety program and take immediate action on identified hazards. Service Supervision: Ensure services meet department standards and perform quality control and assurance checks to comply with regulatory agencies. Performance Checks: Conduct routine competency checks on associate performance with appropriate follow-through. Customer Service: Handle and document service recovery for all customer complaints as per operational guidelines. Food Quality: Monitor food quantity and quality to ensure the appropriate product is available for meal service according to the menu and special requests. Sanitation: Oversee all aspects of the operation’s sanitation program daily to ensure inspection readiness at all times.

 

Shifts:

 

Early Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (one week) Late Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (next week) Retail Supervision coverage: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM (as needed) Rotating Weekends and Holidays
