The Personal Lines Team Leader assists the Personal Lines Manager with supervision of personnel, provides intensive training to new employees and monitors and troubleshoots computer issues within the department. The Team Leader has Account management responsibilities including a book of business, and provides customer service by handling the day-to-day operations of clients' insurance needs.

What You'll DoPlease note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.
Responds to client request for policy changes, billing inquiries and verification of coverage. Ensures that these items are given to client in a timely manner.Maintains follow-up and suspense file on outstanding orders, correspondence, claims, renewal expirations and follows up on overdue and suspense items.Checks new and renewal policies and endorsements for accuracy in coverage.Determines reasons for request for cancellations and acts to retain accounts. If unable, secures Lost Policy Release and follows through to policy cancellation.Manages accounts receivable on book of business to assure timely collection and involves Producer when necessary.Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Assists Agency in developing carrier relationships by becoming familiar with and executing strategies developed for satisfying carrier goals and objectives.Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines of business.Participates in continuing professional development as required by state licensing requirements and Agency guidelines.Trains and directs technical support personnel including Account Representatives, Account Coordinators, or Analysts in order to meet essential duties and responsibilities.Other duties as assigned.Travel is expected to be 30% in this role.
