Additional 3.00 per hour shift premium

Sunday - Thursday: 3rd Shift 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

 

 

The position will lead and supervise operations in the production of high-quality animal diets. This position has responsibility for the operation and manufacturing of automated and semi-automated feed mill equipment. 

 

Responsibilities Perform working-supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws for all direct reportsResponsibilities include planning, assigning, directing and performing diet production work, coaching, and training, addressing complaints, and resolving problemsResponsible for the overall safety of employees through employee training and education programs, plant security and safe equipment operationResponsible for overall process flow of all ingredients and diets throughout the siteEnsure finished product diets are produced within specifications using the predetermined quality parametersIdentify, analyze and resolve shift challenges and assist co-workers in solving production related issuesInterprets company policies and regulations to administer coaching, corrective action, and training to ensure proper operationsCoordinate activities between shifts to ensure timely startups and shutdowns of the production processAdhere and strive to meet all established shift Key Performance IndicatorsInspect equipment, ingredients and finished product to verify that all diets are produced within specifications using the predetermined quality parametersAttend and coordinate daily production meetings with co-workers and direct reportsMaintain scheduled and consistent work attendance as a leadership example Qualifications Qualifications and Education RequirementsCompleted High School education or GEDEnglish communication – written, reading and oralPrevious supervisory experience is requiredProven mechanical aptitudePreferred SkillsNeat and legible hand writingDeveloped and accurate basic math ability – addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisionAbility to follow detailed instructions accuratelyAbility to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documentsAbility to work in a standing position for periods of time up to 4.0 hoursPerform repetitive tasksMicrosoft Office Suite – user skillsPrior feed mill experience is preferredAdditional NotesPhysical mobility within facilityAbility to lift 55 lb. objects from floor to shoulder heightAbility to climb and descend stairs and vertical laddersAptitude to comprehend solid and liquid process flowWilling and able to work overtime as needed (including nights and weekends)

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
