Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader for our Universal Banking division in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading and motivating a team of banking professionals, ensuring the delivery of exceptional universal banking services to our diverse clientele.
Lead and manage a team of universal banking professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvementOversee the delivery of a comprehensive range of banking products and services, including retail, commercial, and investment banking offeringsDevelop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and expand our client baseMonitor team performance, set targets, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team membersEnsure compliance with all relevant banking regulations and internal policiesAnalyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunitiesCollaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall banking operationsResolve complex customer issues and maintain strong relationships with key clientsContribute to the development and implementation of new banking products and servicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldExperience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a proven track record in team leadershipMinimum 3 - 5 years managing and driving a sales teamComprehensive knowledge of universal banking products and servicesStrong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management in the banking sectorExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staffSuperior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levelsProven analytical and strategic thinking capabilitiesProficiency in banking software and systemsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesProfessional banking certifications (e.g., Chartered Banker, Certified Banking & Credit Analyst) are highly desirableFluency in English; knowledge of other South African languages would be advantageousAdditional InformationBehavioral Competencies
