Position Summary
The Team Leader, Walmart is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the annual business plan for Walmart by leveraging data, consumer, and shopper insights to achieve volume, profit and share growth of the portfolio. This Team Leader position is a customer facing role who owns the relationship with Walmart Merchants for assigned categories. The main objectives are leading and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive growth, achieve sales targets, manage the P&L, deliver supply chain goals, achieve successful sell-in of innovation, obtain share objectives, manage, and drive operational excellence to include forecasting and SRGM oversight.
This role involves managing an account manager, working with category development, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams both at Walmart as well as Edgewell Personal Care, while building strong relationships with Walmart Merchants. This role will also work with other Edgewell strategic functions to deliver our targets.

Communication: Must create compelling, motivating, and informative communication to customers, National Account Managers, Directors, EPC commercial teams and internal teams.
Achieving Results: We think proactively, continually setting bold and aggressive goals both individually and as a team. Consistently achieving assigned sales goals is essential for success. They must be skilled in pursuing and delivering both short- and long-term goals while aligning the necessary resources to deliver their annual business plan.
Critical Thinking: Must have the ability to process complex data and provide critical inputs for monthly forecasting, sales planning, and the annual business planning process. They must be able to objectively process brand metrics, shopper and customer metrics and understand how to combine these inputs into mutually beneficial solutions for EPC and Walmart.
Business Acumen: Increase overall revenue in conjunction with profitable growth at account level. The ability to understand and manage critical business processes which supports/maintains the business on an ongoing basis. Recognizes the impact of active and accurate management of business financials and has working knowledge of customer, team, and channel P&Ls.
Universal Accountabilities
• Develop Annual Customer Business Plan: Develop and finalize the annual customer business plan that achieves brand strategies and objectives for Walmart. Ensure that the plans achieve the company’s business sales and share goals, spending, and profit budgets & drive effective promotional strategies. Partner closely with key Walmart leadership for go-to-market planning, distribution and Supply Chain for operational and fulfillment needs, R&D for product and display design needs & marketing for brand strategy and innovation. Monitor account profitability and develop plans to optimize sales spending while maximizing ROI.
• Lead the Team: Strong leadership in leading, mentoring and developing members of the sales team. This includes recruiting talent, providing training, and fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
• Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with Walmart. This skill is crucial for negotiating contracts and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Enhance relationships to achieve penetration at the senior management level and across functional areas that can drive enhanced Edgewell performance.
• Achieve Goals: Identify, monitor, and address specific customer needs to achieve company goals for profit, volume, and share. Ensure Edgewell marketing strategies are implemented at Walmart, driving the consumer to purchase our products.
• Sales Execution & Merchandising: Drive in-store and online sales performance by developing effective promotional strategies, overseeing merchandising standards while monitoring competitive activities. Collaborate with Walmart to maximize in-store execution, including shelf management, endcap displays, and point-of-purchase materials. Ensure pricing strategies and promotional plans are effectively communicated and implemented across the store.
• Forecasting: Ensure the timely and actionable forecasting in collaboration with the EPC Channel Director as well as Demand Management. Forecasting timing includes: monthly volume forecasts, innovation and displays.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Regularly analyze sales performance metrics, customer insights, and industry trends to provide actionable recommendations for driving growth. Monitor account profitability and develop plans to optimize sales spending while maximizing ROI.
Other Required Skills and Experience
• 5-10 years’ experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods working with Walmart or other National Account retailers at the headquarter level in Account Management or related functions (sales planning, category management, buying)
• 5-10 years’ experience utilizing Nielsen or IRI syndicated data with the ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights.
• Experience working with Power BI, Luminate and other 3rd Party Data Tools
• BA/BS in Business, Management or related field required.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

• Travel Required as Necessary
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $210,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
