We relaunched our signature restaurant offering under Dining by James Viles and we're seeking professional Team Leader looking to further their career with Australia’s award-winning hotel.

Set to become one of Sydney’s food and drink destinations for tourists and locals alike, Dining by James Viles is searching for passionate individuals with an engaging personality. Led by James Viles, a respected chef and author with a commitment to sustainability, our restaurant will showcase the finest regional and coastal ingredients of Australia. About the role

Assists the Assistant Manager - The Dining Room by ensuing that all policies and procedures are successfully executed.Provides exceptional guest service at all times and handles all guest and colleague inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.Ensures that the food and beverage standards are implemented.Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage listProvide guests with recommendations of beverage as well as dishes and wines to complement food in a friendly and professional mannerTaking orders and serving food and beverage in professional mannerProviding table service such as opening bottles and pouring beverages, clearing tables by returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen, removing empty bottles and used glasses from the table and refilling / replacing glassesCollecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registerIs a hands-on Team Leader and is present at all times in the Dining Room, especially during busy periods.Nurtures and develops eachteam member, maximising their effectiveness by developing their skills and abilities through appropriate training and coaching.Salary package range: $65k - 70K

To be considered for this role the candidate should possess the following:

Proven a fine dining restaurant experience and qualification in food and beverage service training, preferably diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism management2 years minimum experience in a similar role and environmentCurrent NSW RSA License.Well rounded knowledge of wines and beverages, coffee making skillsBasiccomputer literacy skills particularly in the use of MS Office.
