The Cutting Supervisor is responsible for safety, personnel, quality, production, equipment, and all other activities occurring in or related to the Cutting department.

 

Safety

 

Help develop safety rules, procedures, and proactive measures in conjunction with the Safety Manager and/or the Safety Pillar team to ensure a safe working environment.Hold employees accountable for working within the rules and proactively identifying and removing hazards.Report all near misses, incidents, first aid rendered, or unsafe working conditions to the Flexo Manager and Safety Manager immediately without exception.Responsible for the safety and well-being of self and employees.

 

Quality

 

Ensure all quality procedures and equipment are maintained and being used appropriately.Work with Flexo Manager and other employees to improve quality in the department

 

Personnel

 

Coach, train, develop, and guide department employees.Resolve conflict between employees and maintain good working relationships inside the department.Organize crewing and job assignments of employees in the department.Engage and empower employees to reduce hazards, improve quality, and increase efficiency through team building and inclusion.Understand and follow all applicable rules, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws related to human resource activities.Conduct documented disciplinary action following company policy.Drive a healthy culture within the organization.

 

 

 

 

Production

 

Safety always takes priority over production.Support daily department production efforts as needed.Establish production goals, standards, and metrics for the Cutting department, and communicate expectations to department employees.Manage Cutting supply inventories, such as ink, tape, parts, etc…Maintain product safety.Drive continuous improvement. Including DMS at machine and department level.

 

Maintenance & Equipment

 

Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment, including part orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, emergency maintenance, and outside contractor efforts.Responsible for the safe continuous operation of all equipment in the Cutting department.All equipment will be kept in good repair and cleaned to be suitable for food contact packaging.

 

Housekeeping

 

Oversees and delegates housekeeping duties in assigned area.Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the plant.
