Role Responsibilities:

Supervise the production department which includes: assigning work, encouraging team involvement, completing the performance management process for all team members, scheduling work, ensuring needed equipment is maintained and purchased, and developing and following departmental budgetManage employee relationsCoach team members, through problem solving, to identify problem areas and solve themMonitor production orders or schedules to ensure product is manufactured, and scheduled delivery dates are met in order to plan department operationsCoordinate department schedule and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of product meets specificationsTrain team members on procedures, methods, problem solving, prints, programming, quality requirements, and safetyCoach team members on safety improvements/surveys and department inspections, and follow-up on safety issuesAssist with machine set-up, preventative maintenance, and machine repair when necessaryAid on-line at critical production pointsUniformly, consistently, and fairly administer applicable plant policies practices, and proceduresAid in job bid selection processComply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and proceduresUse all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

Qualifications:

A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experienceWork effectively with limited supervisionMaintain good working relationships with all plant personnelExhibit mechanical aptitudePositively motivate and effectively direct team membersMaintain consistent high quality in work habitsCommunicate effectively with all plant employeesAdhere to safety proceduresPerform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast paced work environmentInteract constructively and effectively with all plant employeesWork in a team environment toward a common goalReact to change productively and to handle other tasks as assignedMaintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
