Responsibilities:

·         Monitor and evaluate patients on pacemakers, critical drips such as Diprivan and Vasopressors, and specialty equipment including IABP and CRRT.

·         Manage patients with femoral and pulmonary artery catheters, ventilator support, intracranial pressure monitors, and continuous renal replacement therapy.

·         Provide care for hemodynamically compromised cardio-surgical patients.

·         Perform initial assessment and vital signs within 15 minutes of arrival and notify the physician promptly.

·         Document comprehensive nursing assessments and develop interdisciplinary care plans within 8 hours of admission.

·         Conduct system assessments, respond to diagnostic data, and address patient education and psychosocial needs daily.

·         Prioritize patient care and initiate care plans based on identified needs.

·         Implement and document emergency interventions, intravenous therapy, and medication administration within prescribed timelines.

·         Perform and document dressing changes, wound care, bedside glucose monitoring, and oxygen therapy as required.

·         Ensure hygiene needs are met daily and provide individualized patient education throughout the shift.

·         Facilitate pre- and post-operative care, handle patient transfers efficiently, and maintain accurate documentation.

·         Evaluate patient responses to treatments, update care plans based on progress or medical status, and assess discharge planning needs.

·         Complete all mandatory training and document clinical skills annually while participating in staff meetings and in-services.

·         Foster teamwork, resolve conflicts using clear communication, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.

·         Support performance improvement initiatives, assist with scheduling, resolve operational issues, and ensure accurate supply charges.

·         Serve as a role model for staff, conduct team meetings, and maintain a customer-focused, cooperative, and respectful attitude.
