We can promise you rewarding work which makes a real impact, the chance to learn from inspiring colleagues from across a growing, global network and opportunities to grow personally and professionally. The Position The Team Leader holds the same duties as a Technician with additional responsibilities  The ideal candidate will be an experienced Technician who has good leadership capabilities, project management skills and dedication to delivering a world class O&M service. The Team Leader will Line Manager up to 2-10 Technicians in a region and be accountable to the Operations Manager for the performance of the team and the region  Key Accountabilities The responsibilities of the Team Leader include all the responsibilities within the Technician job role, with the addition of the items below. Note – the Team Leader may be allocated fewer sites to manage to ensure time can be allocated to the additional responsibilities.Line management of a team of Technicians, ensuring adherence to HSQE requirements at all time Staff recruitment, training, and competency planning Day to day planning alongside the co-ordinator a team of TechniciansWorking with the Coordinator for responding to call outs from the monitoring teamAttendance at weekly coordination calls and relaying information back to the teamAlways demonstrate leadership for health and safety and help improve safety standards across the teamSet high standard for quality and compliance of maintenance tasks, and lead by example in this areaReview and approve work orders in the company CMMSSupport the allocation of downtime events so that the correct downtime cause and penalising status can be recorded, and ensuring good commercial awareness when doing so during the monthly callDiscuss performance on a weekly to the Solar O&M Manager and demonstrate accountability for the performance of their regionEnsuring callout rota has full coverage Support and carry out quality checks to ensure the high standard of all sites in the region and ensuring compliance with the O&M contract when requested Ensuring records are maintained and the CMMS is used to its fullest extentSupporting recruitment and new staff onboarding activitiesProviding support to fill resource gaps within the regionMaintain and develop relevant specialist SkillsSupport budgeting and commercial planning activitiesOther duties commensurate with the roleSupporting HSQE incident investigations where required Supporting new site adoption/onboardingSupporting daily monitor and fault escalation Other duties commensurate with the role Knowledge  Knowledge of central inverters highly desirablePrinciples of High Voltage operationsStrong technical understanding of AC, DC, SCADA, instrumentation and communications networksGood knowledge and understanding of solar PV technology is essentialGood knowledge and understanding of HVAC, fire protection, security systems is desirable Good knowledge and understanding of battery storage technology, although training can be given in this area if required  Skills  Strong approach to safe working practicesExcellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English Attention to detail Positive, can-do attitudeAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAble to respond to changing priorities and emergent issuesEnthusiasm for personal developmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manualsComputer skills for writing reports, reporting progress and communicating by emailPassion, Accountability, Collaboration, ExcellenceExperience  Experience, reading, writing and amending Risk Assessments and Method StatementsExperience liaising with equipment vendors to support diagnosis of faultsDC and LV installation, fault finding, testing and commissioningExperience of working remotely without close supervisionSolar PV installation and O&M experience (MW-scale or large commercial ground-mount)Battery storage installation and O&M experience (MW- scale) is desirableExperience installing or maintaining ethernet and fibre optic communicationsExperience working with SCADA or data monitoring systemsWorking with Central invertersWorking with High Voltage switchgear Qualifications   Full UK driving licenceApproved ElectricianInspection and testing qualifications (C&G 2391 or 2394/5) highly valued    First aid qualificationsHealth & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS)  At RES we celebrate difference as we know it makes our company a great place to work.
