Job Description
This person will Lead a team of Sales Account Managers (Foodservice) in the West region. They will work cross functionally with various business units to protect the core business, expand, and grow with core and new customers, identify and create a competitive advantage to ensure optimal product mix in a given geography and/or assigned customers. In addition, this person will build strategic plans with their team in pursuit of corporate and division sales objectives and team member personal development.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key customers within specific markets.
Work directly with customers to offer valuable solutions, by implementation of sales strategies resulting in increased product knowledge and sales growth.
Manage, through a direct sales team, all customer initiatives, and needs. Maintain and further develop relationships to achieve business objectives.
Lead, coach, and manage a direct Regional Tyson Sales Team to deliver sales plan objectives.
Achieve sales plan through volume growth plans, managing customers, marketing programs, expenses, deduction resolution (as needed), category management, and business reviews with customers.
Other duties include, but not limited to, creation and execution against a list of assigned customers, develop new customers, maintain, and track progress using the CRM tool, ensure customer sales support for customer events, meetings/presentations, and product sampling.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Experience: Minimum five (5) years sales experience Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales.Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office products.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Special Skills: Strategic thinking, solution oriented, negotiation skills, understanding of motivational leadership skills and conflict resolution skills.Travel: 30-50%Location: Candidates must be in California. Priority consideration will be given to candidates in the SoCal Market first.
