JOB SUMMARY
This job will manage the activities of various project management roles as well as directly apply project leadership to multiple large complex product and technology solutions throughout the IT organization. Actively involved in the cultivation of knowledge, coordination, implementation, problem solving, communication, and training of new technologies and processes as they are developed and moved into the department. Project Leadership activities include directly managing team members involved in various programs/projects in conjunction with the organizational need. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.Serve as a team lead for the applicable project activities with the definition, planning, and delivery of multiple large-scale product and technology projects, working with the executive sponsor and other management as required to ensure achievement of the defined project goals. Receiving high risk, visible efforts, must take a lead role in the successful delivery and implementation of cross-functional activities to achieve the desired results for a defined program and/or strategic initiative.Drive the day-to-day operation of projects (including budgetary oversight and staffing) ensuring that all projects are reliably delivered on time, on budget and with a consistently high standard of quality.Assess team members to determine performance metrics, professional/personal growth needs, and create individual development/training plans and career progression plans.Other duties as assigned.
