Team Manager - Maintenance Press Floor

In this position... 

You will lead the Plant Engineering Department at the Dearborn Stamping Plant Press Room consisting of 7 XL transfer and tandem press lines, 3 Blanker lines, 2 progressive lines, and a roll form.  This is a high volume multi shift stamping operation that supports the DSP assembly area, DTP/REVC, MAP, KCAP, OHAP, and KTP. 

You'll have... 

Education: Electrical, Mechanical Trade School or completion of Apprenticeship.5 years in press and transfer automation maintenance and/or engineeringSome experience in production In depth experience in stamping manufacturing processesExcellent leadership and interpersonal skillsPrior experience managing a unionized work forceMicrosoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)Ability to interact with all employees in the organizationStrong working knowledge of the Ford Production SystemStrong communication and problem-solving skills, including working knowledge of Six SigmaDemonstrated ability to work as a teamStrong negotiation and persuasion skillsDemonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employeesDemonstrated conflict management skillsStrong analytical, problem solving, and organization skillsAbility to work closely and successfully with others to deliver results.Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Lead data driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics (e.g., higher FTT, less scrap, less contamination, and etc.)Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions through the Global 4D or 8D process.

Delivery

Monitor production runs to insure they stay on schedule, and correct any maintenance-related problems that ariseProvide the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-upsFacilitate start-up and shift-to-shift meetingsFacilitate skilled trades understanding of constraint analysis and provide resources for activities to eliminate bottlenecksChampion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate the bottlenecks
