This includes setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and identifying training and development opportunities. + **Production Planning & Scheduling:** Develop and implement production schedules that optimize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and meet customer demand. This includes capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and shop floor control. + **Inventory Management:** Oversee inventory control processes to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing storage costs and preventing stockouts or excess inventory. This involves implementing and monitoring inventory control systems, conducting cycle counts, and analyzing inventory data. + **Supply Chain Management:** Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Monitor supplier performance and identify potential supply chain risks. + **Performance Monitoring & Improvement:** Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory levels. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance. + **Data Analysis & Reporting:** Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization. Prepare regular reports on production performance and communicate findings to management. + **Continuous Improvement:** Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. + **Budget Management:** Assist in developing and managing the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. + **Problem Solving:** Effectively troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions and downtime. **You'll have...** + High School Diploma or GED + 3+ years of experience in production control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. + Proven experience in production planning and scheduling, using tools such as MRP or ERP systems. + Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques. + Experience with supply chain management processes, including procurement and supplier management. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MRP systems. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. **Even better, you may have…** + Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. + Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. + Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
