Job DescriptionVeolia Water Technologies Dayton Business Unit has an opening for a Team Service Project Lead. The ideal candidate for this position is an innovative thinker with a knack for problem-solving. Must have experience in industrial/commercial water treatment equipment and systems maintenance and related work experience, they should be able to handle commonly encountered problems independently and understand when to collaborate with technical managers on unusual cases or questionable matters.
As a natural leader, they will lead service projects and direct other technicians on the job site. Their great memory and organizational skills will be put to use in handling specific events, as the problems encountered by this job can be complex and require tasks to be performed in a specific manner and order.
The candidate should be well-spoken and possess excellent communication skills, as they will participate in group meetings or discussions and communicate directly with clients in person and via email. A positive attitude is essential in this role, as the working conditions include manufacturing environments with potential exposure to hazardous conditions.
Efficiency is key in this role, as the candidate will need to develop creative and innovative service offers for prospects and customers. As a quick learner, they should be proficient with MS Office or Google Office Suites, have basic water processing equipment knowledge, and have experience in pipe fitting, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical work.
Job Description Highlights & Responsibilities
Visit client sites to assess equipment, develop parts lists, plan service jobs, meet with clients, evaluate safety aspects, and coordinate work with sub-contractors.
Lead technician crew during service projects.
Review completed service orders for any needed parts and additional service requests.
Contact vendors/manufacturers for parts quotes.
Create service parts and labor quotes in Latis
Troubleshoot equipment (RO systems, Softeners, media filters) and system controls.
Perform system checks and determine if there are any issues with the data recorded
Perform CIP of water treatment equipment (RO, NF, and UF).
Maintain and secure work tools
Provide on-the-job training to customer personnel responsible for operating equipment
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
Complete Field Service Reports using Mobility Tool (Tablet PC) to send out to customers/prospects
20%-50% of the work week will likely involve overnight travel
Some weekend work will be necessary
Operate and maintain a Veolia Company service van properly, following Veolia expectations.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent with additional specialized technical training. Including industrial water systems.
Must be proficient with MS Office or Google Office Suites
Familiarity with Google Office Suites is preferred
Possess basic water processing equipment knowledge
Basic water chemistry knowledge,
Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems
Calibration/maintenance experience with in-line instrumentation (hardness, Chlorine, pH, and Conductivity Analyzers).
The candidate must have experience in pipe fitting, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and water system processing equipment.
Candidates should have 2-5 years’ experience in industrial/commercial maintenance.
5-7 years of related work experience recommended.
