Sunrise FS is headquartered in Virginia, Illinois with branches in Mason and Cass counties. Sunrise FS has about 200 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 2,500 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, grain, tires, irrigation, and retail. Sunrise FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for the effective repair of irrigation machinery and components at high levels of quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs in-field irrigation diagnostics and repairs as required
Serves as an in-field representative for the dealership to provide service solutions and enhance customer satisfaction
Diagnoses, inspects, reconditions, repairs, assembles, and services equipment as assigned by the supervisor
Documents machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used
Maintains a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment
Identifies and communicates solutions for customer service opportunities in the dealership’s area of responsibility
Maintains technical and product knowledge on all systems sold within the store
Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image
Proactively seeks and participates in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skillset
Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
Ability to perform basic computer functions including Microsoft Office products, internet searches and ability to complete all necessary online work order requirements
Maintain, clean and organize assigned service vehicle as well as assist warehouse manager by cleaning and organizing inventory on an as needed basis
Performs all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1-2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of inventory control and organization skills.
Mechanical and electrical skills required
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment
Ability to lift at least 60 pounds frequently.
Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions and noisy conditions.
May occasionally be exposed to dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
May occasionally be required to work at varying heights.
Must be able to travel independently and overnight.
Demonstrated essential abilities business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Knowledge of center pivot irrigation systems, electrical service equipment, pump panels and motors, control circuitry, single & 3 phase power, 120/240, 277/480 volt systems.
Prior experience servicing pivot irrigation systems
Knowledge in the use of test equipment, volt/ohm meters, wire/fault finders.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
