+ JOB SUMMARY + Assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; enters charges for narcotics, floor stock, and surgery; and performs other related duties. + DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: + Education/Regulatory Requirements: + High School Diploma/GED + Previous hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician or graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician training program preferred. + Active or eligible for Pharm Tech Registration with the State of MS Board of Pharmacy. + Skills: + Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills. + Automated pharmacy systems. + IV Laminar Flow Hood - or willingness to learn.
