BECOME A TECH WASH AGENT!

Our Tech Wash Agent position requires the employee to perform an in-depth cleaning of specified areas of an aircraft. Scrub, scrape, detail, and wash the exterior and interior parts and components of the aircraft.

 

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A TECH WASH AGENT

Pre-checks are performed on all equipment/vehicles and loading of required chemicals for designated washes during that shift The ability to follow airline specific guidelines with tasks pertaining to the detailed cleaning process Attach or remove proper pitot tube and static port covers and document on aircraft wash record or airline designated forms Place the vacuum and water dams around the aircraft to collect all liquids that drip onto the ground and any drains that are covered to protect from contamination Place soap in mop buckets, apply to aircraft, starting from the bottom, working upwards with mopheads/pads attached to poles Wash exterior of aircraft to remove dirt, insect spots, grease, stains, oil streaking, and exhaust/carbon trails During and after the rinse, the contaminated water is squeezed to the vacuum system for removal, be sure to not leave any standing water/soap/chemical in the shadow of aircraft A power washer will be used to rinse the soap and dirt from the aircraft while working from the ground or using a ladder Polish metallic surfaces, clean/scrape seat tracks, and wipe down the interior structure of aircraft Complete a FOD walk to verify that the work area is clean of equipment/chemicals and debris free Inspect and evaluate the quality of work and practice safe work methods Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE): raingear, rubber boots, safety glasses, face shield, rubber gloves, Tyvek suit, and respirator May be assigned other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS

18 years of age or older Eligible to work in the United States  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents  Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices  Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means Pass a background check and drug screen  Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable) Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
