TECHNICAL ADVISOR - COILED TUBING ROLE STATEMENT: The Technical Sales Advisor, Coiled Tubing will be a member of the Sales and Marketing department responsible for maintaining and growing our existing client base as well as expanding our clientele in the coiled tubing service line. Reporting to the Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Canadian Operations the ideal candidate will work closely with the Account Managers, the Coiled Tubing Operations and Technical Services teams to support strategies that best capture market opportunities. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Confer with management, sales and marketing and operations teams to discuss coiled tubing service line short term objectives, goals and strategies • Work directly with the Account Managers to foster new client relationships and identify new business opportunities for coiled tubing products / services • Support coiled tubing sales to capture opportunities and align Calfrac with the rapidly growing and shifting oil and gas markets • Identify and implement the business development of our operating groups into new areas and expansions by managing and evaluating new market opportunities • Ensure market penetration and growth plans are clearly defined for the coiled tubing management with requirements and areas of support needed • Support the Account Managers in achieving specified revenue targets for their assigned regions • Support the Business VP’s, Marketing and Sales VP’s, and Operations VP’s with client proposals, feasibility studies, and operating requirements for the coiled tubing product line • Recommend and deliver value-added programs for the coiled tubing service line • Respond to coiled tubing service line client inquiries and complaints in a timely manner • Coordinate with technical services and operations to complete and provide sound proposals to customers • Assists with the development of short and long term sales goals • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer activity • Conduct coiled tubing product and service solution presentations to key and target accounts • Remain up to date on relevant industry regulations and trends including: upcoming projects, innovative technologies and competitor strategies KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: • An advanced understanding of the technical aspects of coiled tubing • Strong fundamental knowledge of coil tubing service line • Geographic market knowledge and existing industry relationships strongly desired • Proven negotiation skills • Thorough knowledge of business analysis, change management and project management with the ability to produce supporting documentation • Excellent communication skills with a customer service orientation and an ability to work well with all levels of the organization • Ability to challenge assumptions backed by a strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with a high attention to detail • Works and inspires others to work at high performance levels • Ability to generate reports with a high attention to detail • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering is preferred • 10 – 15 years of related (engineering, sales, business development etc.) and progressive work experience preferably in the coiled tubing service line • Experience working in or an understanding of oilfield services We would like to thank all applicants for applying to this role but only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
