Focus:  The Technical Advisor is responsible for the safe operation of Chlor-Alkali Distribution System. The Technical Advisor will partner with plant production engineers, leadership, plant training coordinator, and other technical advisors to coach and enhance the technical capabilities of the production team.  


Technical Advisor Essential Job Functions:

Acts as technical/process subject matter resource; Actively involved with improving and maintaining learning resources.Assists operations with troubleshooting plant process issues, identifies areas of improvement, and implements operating discipline improvements.Assists in training of new operators and enhances front line skills and knowledge through coaching, teaching, and mentoring.Coordinates and assists with procedure development and review; Identifies areas of improvement and implements operating discipline changes to make sustainable gains in the facility work processes.Assists with implementation of the work processes/Olin Management System (OMS) in the department to facilitate achievement of goals for the unit; Performs or assists in process related Root Cause or failure analysis.Coordinates with other functions or areas of expertise to resolve EH&S and reliability issues; this includes being an active participant in department EH&S program including spending time in field with other team members coaching and providing feedback regarding implementation of EH&S programs and policies.Coordinates CADIS pipeline outages with PPC.Works with ACGK, Maintenance Planners and WAC to coordinate Start Up/ Shutdown timing and maintenance plans.Will back up the HCl distribution TA as needed

Technical Advisor Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree* in related field preferred5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting; prior Strong writing, communication, organization skillsExperience using Microsoft applications; previous experience with SAP preferredWell versed in EH&S requirementsMust be organized and be able to prioritize workload.Must be a self-starter and possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving and coaching skills.Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's License
