What You Will Do:

This dual-role position is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of our plant processes and the continuous development of our staff. You will serve as the subject matter expert in your area, providing technical support and training to meet our business and performance goals.

 

What We're Looking For:

Technical Advisor Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical subject matter expert within your area. Enhance operator competencies by sharing process knowledge and problem-solving techniques. Assist with resolving process and equipment performance issues. Conduct and support root cause analyses. Collaborate with maintenance, reliability, and improvement teams to resolve issues. Lead and support process and productivity improvement initiatives.

 

Training Coordinator Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain comprehensive unit training programs. Assist in setting and achieving training goals for the unit. Conduct training sessions and coordinate external experts for specialized training needs. Support individual development plans for unit personnel. Ensure training records are current and evaluate training effectiveness. Network with other training coordinators to continuously improve training resources.

 

Skills That Make a Difference: 

High School Diploma. A minimum of 5 years of operational experience within a system unit in a chemical plant; 10 years preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Trained in root cause analysis and core problem-solving techniques. Self-driven with the ability to collaborate with various working groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint).

 

Considered a Plus:

Experience as a shift leader within a chemical plant.

 

Working Conditions:

Schedule will be a 40 hour week, 5, 8hr days. Flexible start and end time between 5:30 and 6:30am. Earliest end time 2:00 pm Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment and occasionally outdoors in inclement weather.   Willing/able to work off hours/weekends, as required.
