As a key member of the Corporate Controllership team, the Technical Advisory Manager will report directly to the Company’s head of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting and support a wide range of technical accounting matters related to strategic transactions and financial reporting. Responsibilities include quarterly close processes, commercial contract reviews, and addressing key accounting policy updates. This role will also collaborate with statutory teams and the Sox team to enhance internal controls and optimize global accounting processes.

As a Technical Advisory Manager, you will ensure technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence. We expect you to understand concepts, methods, procedures, and approaches.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Resolving and documenting complex accounting issues and pending transactions, with a significant focus on over-time revenue recognition and business combinations.
Monitoring and assessing future accounting proposals and standards to understand and prepare the Company for implementation with necessary policy and process design enhancements.
Partnering with the business and stakeholders across Finance to support the Company’s annual goodwill and long-lived asset impairment assessments.
Establishing and maintaining Company accounting policies and procedures to support US GAAP and ad hoc statutory support to maintain a comprehensive accounting policy landscape.
Evaluating strategic/complex commercial proposals and providing input on alternative structures to meet business and financial needs while complying with relevant accounting principles and regulations.
Leading training sessions for company-wide finance personnel across a variety of accounting topics to address emerging trends or support continued education across the business.
Participating in Controllership / Finance initiatives and special projects as needed
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field with 7+ years of related experience
CPA and public accounting work experience
Proficient in researching and interpreting accounting standards and preparing technical accounting memos and position papers
ASC 606 over-time revenue recognition accounting experience
Clear thinker with strong analytical skills; Effective project management skills; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; and process and compliance focused mindset
