Salary:Pay Commensurate with Experience Location: In State Categories: On-Call Position Summary(Basic Job Function) This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions. Unit Position Summary ADREC serves as a collaborator in projects focusing on anaerobic digestion of organic materials, anaerobic digester operations, modifications, and improvements. The ADREC facility has laboratories with a capacity to carry out standard bioassay tests (biochemical methane potential, anaerobic toxicity assay) in addition to parameters relevant to anaerobic digestion research. The pilot scale reactors are also available to test continuous digestion operation and their performance with the support from the analytical measurement infrastructure. ADREC intends to hire a technical aide to support the management and research related tasks in the lab(s). This position will have varied hours that include weekends. Responsibilities: + Management of the lab space: Cleaning and keeping the lab space organized, keeping inventory of the consumables, etc. + Carrying out sample analyses and standard bioassay tests + Operating bench and pilot scale anaerobic digesters in the lab and monitoring their performance Required qualifications: + At least 2-years of college with a STEM program + Computer skills (Microsoft programs) + Communication (written and verbal) skills + Must be able to open to learn continuously to be able to work independently + Must be open to support and work with the ADREC team (director, manager, graduate and undergraduate student) in their research studies + Must have a valid driver's license as driving will be required.
