The Electrical Products Business Unit within Siemens has an open position as Technical Application Consultant for Electrical Engineering and Design of Industrial Control Panels in Erlangen, Germany. 

 The Technical Application Consultant is responsible for developing and realizing solutions and concepts for the electrical equipment of machines and industrial control panels as well as supporting and enabling customers and the Siemens sales force. Performing Control Panels designs and concepts for solutions in accordance with customer/project needsSupporting international sales regions, project teams and customers for the development and implementation of Control Panels solutions based on the Siemens Electrical Products and associated Digital Industry portfolio Supporting in resolving technical challenges and acts as one escalation point for major technical issues in sales regions. Using your expert knowledge regarding the market trends and needs/challenges of Electrical Engineers, Designers and electrical maintenance personnel  Generates technical collateral such as use cases, application examples and templates for reuse by others. Supports knowledge transfer through creating and presenting technical presentations at customers and conferences. 

Your defining qualities 

EducationMaster's degree, preferred in electrical or mechanical engineering or a similar technical fieldExperience & SkillsLong-Term experience in Control Panel Design and Electrical Engineering Experience in the Panel Building and machine building industry and market profound experience in  complex business environment and in interaction with customers, suppliers and other stake holders Knowledge with Siemens Software Tools e.g. TIA Selection Tool, CPD and E-CAD software e.g. EPLAN P8 electrical  Basic knowledge in Building Information Modeling (BIM)  Additional knowledge in multiple areas such as cyber security, sustainability, energy efficiency, power monitoring, EMC is a plus Ways of workingResult Oriented: Enjoys working with passion for the things he/she sees as challenging.
