Technical Architect - Data Engineering Intern (Early Careers)
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 05 The Team: Join our Content and Pricing Platforms Architecture team as an intern and dive into the world of data solutions! Collaborate with innovative thinkers to transform data collection, curation, analytics, and delivery. You'll gain hands-on experience creating proof of concepts (POCs) and presenting ideas to stakeholders while working closely with Product teams and Cloud Providers in a dynamic environment where your contributions matter. S&P Global Commodity Insights is looking for candidates for our 10-week internship within the Content and Pricing Architecture team, as part of our IMPACT Program (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities), aimed at developing early career talent globally. Your Responsibilities: Innovate: Explore advanced technologies to create POCs that evaluate new solutions. Develop: Use your programming skills in languages like Python, Java, .NET, and ReactJS to bring your ideas to life. Experiment: Dive into Generative AI techniques and assess their potential. Document & Present: Keep track of your evaluations and share your insights with the team and stakeholders. Engage: Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing to your unique perspective and progress updates. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications: Current student attaining an undergraduate/graduate degree in a relevant field, graduating in May 2026 with a background that showcases your dedication and passion for technology. Foundational knowledge of programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, .NET, etc.), databases, and algorithms. Experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas and NumPy. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills—let’s make great things happen together! A genuine passion for learning new technologies and staying ahead of market trends. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on. Attention to detail ensures quality in your work. Bonus Points: Basic understanding of data analysis and statistical concepts. Familiarity with software development methodologies and architectural principles. Knowledge of LLMs, machine learning, or cloud computing? That’s a plus!
