Technical Architect Hybrid IT Application Platform
CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Architect Hybrid IT Application Platform opening for our client in Greensboro, NC. Location: Greensboro, NC Duration: 10 months Duties: Design and implement scalable, high-performance hybrid IT application platforms. Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of IT application platforms. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and automation. Utilize Git for version control, including branching and merging strategies, to manage codebase. Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring. Use Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage cloud and on-prem environments. Leverage Docker for containerization and deployment of applications. Automate workflows and processes through Bash and Python scripting. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the hybrid IT environment. Skills: Expertise in Git versioning, branching, and merging strategies. Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline configuration and management. Hands-on proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation. Advanced Docker containerization and deployment skills. Ability to write and maintain automation scripts using Bash and Python. Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar). Familiarity with hybrid IT architecture and cloud-to-on-prem integration. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Architect or in a similar role. Proven experience in managing complex IT application platforms in hybrid environments. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (preferably GitLab). Extensive experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible. Solid knowledge of containerized applications using Docker. Strong scripting experience with Bash and Python for automation tasks. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
