Technical Architect (Principal Consultant)

The team

Our managed services team have just signed a 6 year extension and transformation deal with a global banking customer. As a result we are looking for a Technical Architect with a breadth and depth of storage and infrastructure experience to join our team and play a key role in the transformation programme, splitting their time 50/50 (approx) on another global FS client.

 What you'll be doing:

Creating detailed technical designs from high level solution designs, based on an analysis of the customer’s environment and requirements. Coaching and training other technical consultants, whilst providing guidance to local teams or 3rd party partners, building mutual support, and understanding with colleagues Providing analysis and implementation support for SAN/NAS Storage solutions, initial implementation, and integration into the environment as required Supporting the creation & maintenance of IT policies, procedures using ITIL framework to efficiently manage the storage infrastructure, supporting the SDM in governance meetings and reporting

What you’ll bring to the role:

A deep understanding of overall IT Infrastructure components; specifically enterprise Storage, Compute, Networking & Data & Cyber Protection technology. In particular we are interested in Hitachi Storage (desirable, not essential - the best training is on offer) as well as NetApp,  Brocade, Cisco technologies A track record in leading the design & delivery of global infrastructure transformations, facing off to both customer and internal stakeholder to executive level. Excellent communication (written & verbal) with the ability to engage and influence individuals inside and outside of Hitachi Vantara. The ability to quickly learn and assimilate new technologies and/or ways of working. Knowledge of ITIL processes is desirable
