Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesRole/Purpose:A Technical Assembler I will use a variety of hand/power tools, fixtures, work instructions, mechanical prints and electrical schematics to assemble Product Inspection equipment while meeting our safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and proceduresConstruct product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical guidelinesReport problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Assembly Lead and/or Assembly ManagerDocument actions by completing quality checklistsWork with Engineering to understand our process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve qualityProvide hands on job function training to coworkers as neededMaintain a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functionMaintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and managementConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsAccurately track and record time spent on projectsAdheres to all company policies and proceduresFollow detailed electrical and mechanical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and proceduresOccasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50lbsOther duties as assignedWhat You Need to SucceedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Mechanical and electrical aptitudeSafety awareQuality focusedGood time managementExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAttention to detailAbility to handle multiple projects and prioritiesAbility to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, laying, squat, bend, kneeling) for prolonged periods of timeSelf-starterAbility to consistently meet deadlinesFamiliarity with Microsoft OfficeThis position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
