We're seeking a skilled Technical Associate to join our team and work with state-of-the-art equipment while maintaining high-quality production standards. As a Technical Associate, you will be responsible for the following: **RESPONSIBILITIES** : + Operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipment + Meeting and exceeding production standards while maintaining product quality + Minimizing and preventing equipment downtime and sustaining budgeted waste levels + Maintaining accurate equipment logs and recording downtime and maintenance problems + Performing preventative maintenance on equipment + Starting up equipment and ensuring accurate functioning + Monitoring component inventories and safety guards + Maintaining a neat and orderly production environment + Monitoring in-process quality and addressing issues as needed + Performing required Q.C. checks and process challenges + Following safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements + Supporting upstream and downstream operations + Performing rework as required + Working optimally in a team environment **ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor **QUALIFICATIONS:** + H.S. Diploma/G.E.D preferred + Maintenance Repair / Mechanical Experience or Proficiency required and 2 years experience preferred + Knowledge of automated process required + 6- 12 months of manufacturing experience desired + Working with PLC's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics desired + Must be proficient with basic hand tools. + Familiar with the following mechanical components, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves. + Should also be familiar with the following electrical components; photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFD’s. + Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated. + **Able to work any shift including 12 hour night** + Must have clear and legible handwriting **Work Environment:** + BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy + False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor. + Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
