The MSEIT (MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test) team in support of SSC (Space Systems Command) in El Segundo is seeking an individual to provide Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity support for the MILSATCOM Capability area. The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs has an ongoing need for IA/Cybersecurity support, to meet the needs of our emerging next-generation protected SATCOM.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and flowdown of requirements for a large space based processed communications systemLead Interface Control Documents (ICD) development for a large space based processed communications system (e.g. Payload to Terminal ICD, Payload to Ground ICD, etc)Lead the Configuration Management team in preparing for Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)Provide technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in reviewing Prime contract Change ProposalsReview Prime contractor proposed hardware/software implementations that would satisfy program requirementsWork with MSEIT modeling team to ensure models align with technical baseline to include ICDs and requirement flowdownLead effort to assess proposed baseline changes for impacts to requirements and verification. Supporting the customer with verification tracking to ensure the developer and source requirements are adequately verifiedEnsure effective requirements integration across space and ground, hardware and software, and all other aspects of systems and organizations within the EnterpriseIntegrate activities over the lifecycle of systems within the Enterprise including pre-contractual, development and production, as well as operations and sustainmentInteract with the prime contractor and government leads to ensure that all system requirements and interfaces are consistent and valid across the EnterpriseDevelop acquisition and technical requirements-related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation in support of SMC decision making. Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force

Qualifications:

Required:

Active TS/SCI clearanceBS degree in engineering9+ years’ experience in systems engineering, integration, and/or test9+ years’ experience working on DoD programsFamiliarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools used to support requirements development and traceabilitySolid analytical and problem solving skillsOrganization capability with ability to handle competing prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholdersCapable in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility

Desired:

12+ years’ experience with space systems in space or ground segments12+ years’ experience in a space acquisitions environmentExperience in satellite hardware and software developmentProfessional certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, ASEP or PMPMBSE certifications such as OCSMPAgile, Scrum master certification

Basic Compensation: $175,000-$195,000 in California
 

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
