About the role

Job Summary: The Technical Competency and Programs Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing competency strategy and framework for all field roles across Reworld. They will also lead programs to enhance the technical skills and the learning management system experience within Reworld. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical competency assurance and management system as well as learning management systems. It also requires knowledge of the organization’s different technical roles, as well as the ability to design and deliver training programs that meet these needs. The successful candidate will work closely with department heads, subject matter experts, and HR to ensure that training programs are aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Competency Assessment

Develop and implement the strategy and the framework for assessing technical competencies across the organization.Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.Work with department heads to establish competency standards for various technical roles.

2.  Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure competency maps content is accurate and up to date.Partner with HR to integrate competency frameworks into performance management and career development processes.Engage with external training providers and industry bodies to stay current with best practices and new technologies.

3. Program Development and Management:

Design, develop, and implement training and LMS improvement programs that align with organizational goals.Work with different stakeholders and SMEs to develop and maintain an effective learning management system.Evaluate the effectiveness of LMS programs and make improvements as needed.Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation.

4. Reporting and Analytics:

Monitor and report on technical competencies and training programs metrics and outcomes.Use data to drive continuous improvement in LMS system and competency programs.Provide regular updates to senior management on the status and impact of competency development activities and initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Program Management, Education).

- 10 years’ experience in the Training field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in competency management and technical training. - Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.

- Strong understanding of technical training programs and industry standards.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in a relevant field.

- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

- Familiarity with agile development and DevOps practices.

- Certification in instructional design or a related area.
