As part of a high-performance team, the **_Technical Content Program Manager_** oversees the department’s Style Program that consists of curating guidelines, policies, and procedures for the style and implementation of authoring content into online learning platforms (OLPs), particularly WebAssign. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing this Style Program with both our internal Technical Content development teams and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging individuals and teams to deliver the highest quality content to our customers! The ability to be proactive and independent, providing effective leadership within a highly collaborative team environment is a must.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
Own and manage all aspects of the Technical Content Style Program, including:
+ Guidelines, policies, and procedures for style, including both technical and English-language style concerns
+ Guidelines, policies, and procedures for how content is first entered into our OLPs by both internal resources and external vendors, covering copyediting, text entry, image-editing, and document-editing tasks
+ Management of third-party technical content vendors and assessment of their work for adherence to quality, style, and productivity standards; Performance of copyediting, text entry, image-editing, and document-editing tasks as needed
+ Assessment of the work of internal Technical Content development teams for adherence to quality and style standards
+ Creation and delivery of training for both internal and external developers as needed to remediate any issues
+ Gather requirements from a cross-functional organization to define the scope, schedule, resourcing, and budget for projects, identifying risks and dependencies in advance
+ Maintain tracking and reporting, report about project status, and consistently deliver on time and within budget
+ Learn to foster healthy relationships in cross-functional organization; facilitate trust, positive team morale, communication, and conflict resolution
+ Share insights from the team to help clarify product vision and improve customer experience
+ Learn to proactively lead teams for continual improvement in quality, efficiency, and collaboration
+ Handle administration activities, which may include data entry into Content Management System, issue tracking and resolution, associate digital assets, and pull usage data
**Required Qualifications**
+ Expertise with the WebAssign OLP
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and a proven ability to be solution-focused
+ Excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal savvy
+ Proven ability to work independently
+ Ability to prioritize effectively and balance multiple tasks to meet deadlines
+ Excellent computer skills, including expertise with web-based and other markup languages (HTML, CSS, LaTeX, etc.) and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
+ Excellent editing and proofreading skills
+ Expertise with publication styles (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style)
+ Experience with image- and document-editing software (e.g., Adobe)
+ Experience with vendor management
+ Experience developing and delivering training for multiple target audiences
**_Preferred Qualifications_**
+ _1-2 years’ experience in project management or equivalent experience_
+ _Proven ability to lead and influence without authority_
+ _Proven ability to navigate change well with a focus on improved future states_
+ _Experience with agile development processes and recurring release cycles_
+ _Experience working with JIRA or a comparable project management tool_
+ _Experience with other OLPs beyond WebAssign_
+ _Experience with coding/scripting languages and creating automation tools_
+ _Familiarity with content management systems, including content modeling, metadata application, and user requirements driven by content organization_
+ _Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent experience_

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
$52,000.00 - $83,200.00 USD
