Job Title: Technical Controller (Product Change Controller)
Working Pattern: 37 hours days
Working location: Derby Raynesway
As a Technical Controller you will play an important role in helping the business to enact, control and evaluate product and programme change. The Technical Controller role provides a great opportunity to collaborate across multiple business functions to define product structures and improve alignment with customer requirements. This will include leading the definition and control of the Logistics Bill of Material (LBoM) for the next generation of Submarines for the UK and Australia.

Working as part of the Demands Management team within the Planning & Control function, supporting the whole Submarines Business, we act as the integration point between Engineering, Config, programme and Supply Chain / Operations. Being the voice of Supply Chain, we can ensure changes are assessed and implemented in the most effective way, joining all the impacted areas together.

Being a core member of the Product Change Board panel, this role gets early sight of change requirements, to then understand implications and impact and work closely with Supply Chain and Production colleagues to optimise the change incorporation.
Creation of the Logistics Bom ensures the single representation of the Nuclear Steam Raising Plant deliverables is managed and controlled for all subsequent users.

Create, manage and control Logistics Bills of Materials in line with design intent and customer requirements for Submarine build programmesProduce product structures to support best practice in supply chain management, assembly and deliverySupport the Product Change process, guiding business decision making and incorporation policiesLead Commitment Acceptance with Supply Chain and Operations for product and programme changes including capturing supply chain risks and identify mitigating actions associated with implementing product and programme changesEngage with improvement activities to ensure best practice in change management is put into practiceWho we’re looking for:

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
