SUMMARY: Provides technical assistance to assigned team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but not limited to the following:
Develops and maintains department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) according to Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines and/or HNL policies.Provides technical expertise, continuing education and training to all staff within a designated clinical operations area.Assists in the ongoing departmental monitoring to improve quality, work flow, staff productivity and employee satisfaction.Prepares or directs preparation of various qualitative and quantitative reports and records.Reviews invoices to ensure charges are correct and pricing updates are made.Creates new test codes using TMS system.Updates current tests based on information provided by reference laboratories to ensure HNL is providing correct information regarding specimen requirements, methods, CPT codes, etc.Provides utilization reports as requested from reference labs.Updates test information in MIQ and Lab Handbook.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Certificates and Licenses:
Certification by a recognized certifying agency for Clinical Laboratory Professionals preferred (ASCP, ASMT, NCA, etc.)
