Technical Designer

A leader in hospitality design is looking to add a Technical Designer II to their team!

Job Description:

Executes project deliverables in the time allotted per project schedule as coordinated by the project managerCoordinates documentation that captures design decisions while holistically addressing the 3D space; from functionality, alignment with programmatic needs, and how materials, volumes, and performance of the space all come togetherIs equipped with a basic knowledge of spatial requirements, program requirements, design, and construction standardsCreates design documentation during Schematic through the Construction Administration phase under oversight of the project managerUnderstanding of product data and commercial requirement standards (i.e. durability, installation methods, appropriate application, and code compliance)Coordinates design documentation to abide by standard construction methods and design detailing for implementation within design documentationCoordinates and executes custom furniture and fixture details to align with design direction as directed by project managerReviews outside consultants drawings (ie architect, drafting, millwork, and custom furniture)Ability to assist in the creation of redlinesAssists project manager and/or Job Captain with shop drawing review, submittals, and RFIs

Qualifications:

Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior DesignTechnical documentation experience at an architecture or interior design firm5+ years of experienceInterior architecture experience working on hospitality projects (restaurants or hotel amenity spaces)AutoCAD proficiency for construction documentationAbility to read and interpret renderings in SketchUp

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $36.06
