Technical / Deskside Support II (Contractor)
Description We are offering a long-term employment opportunity for a Technical / Deskside Support II in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for a variety of computer related products and systems, as well as managing customer inquiries and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: • Provide expert maintenance and support for PCs, servers, and associated software, networks, and peripherals • Handle installation, maintenance, and servicing of break-fix desk side computer related products and legacy systems • Support network products from both an operational and maintenance perspective • Perform tests and certify PCs, networks, servers, and client-approved applications • Conduct installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMACs) as required • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed • Maintain a proficient understanding of company service solutions • Adhere to client-specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements • Work on smaller, less complex projects, potentially with project management responsibilities • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction • Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor, and dress. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service and maintaining Customer Satisfaction. • Proven ability in Planning and Project Management. • Familiarity with Procedures and Configuration Management. • Proficiency in using Microsoft tools and Microsoft Office Suites. • Commitment to Quality and attention to detail. • Ability to Troubleshoot various technical issues. • Understanding of Networks and Networking principles. • Excellent Communication Skills, both verbal and written. • Experience with Deskside Support tasks. • Knowledge of the C programming language, across all versions. • Experience with Printing and related peripheral equipment. • Familiarity with Servers, Storage systems, and their operation. • Knowledge of Operating Systems, specifically UNIX and Linux. • Proficiency in Desktop Hardware, Laptop Hardware, and Computer Hardware maintenance and repair.
