As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical management of a fleet of bulk carriers. Your role will include ensuring vessels are maintained to the highest standards, adhering to safety regulations, managing budgets, and optimizing technical performance. You will lead and inspire teams across technical, marine, HSEQ, purchasing, and crewing departments, driving operational efficiency and cost-effective strategies. Additionally, you will act as a trusted liaison for clients and stakeholders, providing expert technical guidance and upholding excellence in all aspects of the company’s operations.
Key Requirements:
Former Chief Engineer, preferably with experience on bulk carriers, and in-depth knowledge of vessel operations at a senior technical level. Proven success in senior shore-based technical management roles within the maritime sector, with expertise in managing complex technical and operational functions. Strong leadership experience overseeing multiple departments, including technical, HSEQ, purchasing, and crewing, with a focus on strategic performance and efficiency. Comprehensive understanding of maritime safety, compliance, and regulatory standards, with the ability to enforce these across the organization. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is mandatory, enabling effective collaboration with local teams, clients, and stakeholders in a multinational environment. Exceptional leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and achieving strategic objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
