Syntelligent is currently seeking a TS/SCI cleared Technical Editor to support our intelligence customer located at the Pentagon! Position: Technical Editor - JCS J2 Location: Pentagon (Arlington, VA)
Shift: Yes (1100 - 1900) Technical Editor: Responsible for reviewing and revising intelligence or communication products and other documents prepared by DoD analysts for publication into the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS)/Secretary of Defense's Intelligence Update. As such, editor works with primary authors to edit/rewrite products for organization, grammar, style, accuracy, consistency of technical data, etc. Advises management and analysts with expert technical knowledge of the DIA Style Guide. At the discretion of the Division Chief, editor is assigned to support crisis management operations, edit desk noted for the senior leaders, and review products for dissemination to partner services. The ability to operate on short timelines, flexibility, and excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis products 3+ years of experience as a technical editor in an IC organization Ability to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft standards as defined in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203 Analytic Standards and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements to the production of all-source intelligence products Ability to support shift work (1100 - 1900) TS/SCI clearance; w/CI Poly or willingness to take a polygraph exam HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience Additional Qualifications/Nice to have: Possession of excellent organizational and analytical skills Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Online applications, please.
Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
