Summary You will serve as a TECHNICAL EDITOR (QA ADMINISTRATOR for C244.1) in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a technical directives writer/editor. You will be detail oriented and have good command of the English/technical language, with excellent written and oral communication skills. You will act as the Division's Quality Assurance technical Editor for all cognizant systems within Department 200. You will represent Code 244 for any procedure and administrative policy issues associated with Process Instruction or Technical Manual authored by Department 200 when requested. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: . Experience at a high skill level with AIM, Word and general computer systems knowledge (Outlook email, Adobe, Excel, and Power Point. Experience performing quality assurance reviews of technical documents, both in the initial and final stages. Experience as an advisor or trainer to junior staff. Experience working with detailed and complex technical directives. Experience writing and editing of Process Instructions and Engineering manuals.
