We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an SE-2 Technical Editor for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 48 CTS / TGEE. The 48th CTS/Det 1 conducts Cyber Security Test & Evaluation of Embedded Avionics & Weapons Systems for multiple platforms within the Air Force. JOB DETAILS LOCATION: Edwards AFB, CA JOB STATUS: FT TRAVEL: Infrequent REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Technical BS Degree and 5 years of applicable technical writing experience, or additional years experience to outweigh the degree requirement. Active Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work Must have the ability to establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with a wide variety of customers, including senior executives, engineers, technicians, managers, and administrative staff. Able to apply advanced concepts and strategies when editing. Able to produce high quality work under tight and sometimes shifting deadlines. Able to grasp and communicate highly technical information without a background in that area. Must be comfortable asking questions of technical experts. Must have a disciplined work ethic and the ability to prioritize and juggle projects. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must enjoy working collaboratively within a team of engineering/cybersecurity professionals. Proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite (Word professional documentation styles, features and production, Excel, PowerPoint. Must have strong oral communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Bachelor’s Degree in either Engineering or Cybersecurity related Discipline desired. Active TS/SCI preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews, and revises documents to conform to existing style guidelines and industry best practices for test plan, test reports, test cards, and documents requested by programs in support of DT/OT cyber testing. Edits, standardizes, and revises material prepared by cybersecurity professionals organizing and formatting content for clarity, flow, and readability. Meet with and receive guidance/technical direction from Subject Matter Experts. May be asked to prepare, edit, or revise reports, correspondence, briefings, or other documentation. Ensures clarity and grammatical correctness of all written materials through attention to detail and the application of recognized editorial techniques. Edits and maintains a listing of technical documents, their key data, and their revision schedule Prepares, edits, or revises reports, correspondences, briefings, and other documentation. Aplies advanced concepts and strategies when editing. Tracks and reports progress of various projects.
