The applicant would be responsible for planning managing coordinating and executing gaming events around South Africa and to be the central technical contact for all technical queries related to internal consumers internal staff retailers and event partners
Duties and Responsibilities
Retail Support
Accept all retail technical calls relating to hardware plus services and software across platforms
Handling escalated customer queries from retail and commercial partners
Management of all equipment in retail outlets
Resolve unforeseen queries relating to product sales in retail outlets
Ensure that technical support is offered to all retail outlets
Updating all retail equipment with current content Software Accessories Trailers
Compile and update all documents relating to retail equipment
Customer Support
Assist in troubleshooting and assisting with all escalated technical queries on equipment
Take consumer technical query calls relating to software across platforms
Handling escalated calls
Equipment
Ensure that all event equipment is updated and maintained including PODs IDUs Simulators and Point of Sale
Debug firmware updates and testing of games
Maintain Marketing vehicles including licensing road worthies services
Ordering of spare parts to maintain events and retail equipment
Maintain Kiosk consoles nationally
Product testing on all hardware software and peripherals
Compile and update all documents relating to equipment
Events
Plan and manage events coordinate promoters equipment staff design floor plans
Manage events calendar
Coordinate all B2B events
Coordinate all deliveries of equipment to events
Ensure best representation of the brand
Prepare technical set up for Marketing and Media events
Prepare technical set up for internal events
Compile and update all documents relating to events
Petty Cash Management Acquiring Allocation Recon Reporting
Training
Plan and implement product training programs for internal staff members retail staff agency staff partserve
Compile update and maintain training manuals and presentations
Training on new products
Requirements
2 years in a similar environment such as technical/ gaming / expos / events
Matric/ Grade 12
Diploma in Information Technology
Marketing Diploma would be advantageous
Systems experience with gaming consoles such as XBox Nintendo PC Games and gaming etc
Salary Market related based on experience
