Where You Will Work  

Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart – separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling.  

 

Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service land of the Arapaho National Forest, making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

What You Will Do Deliver/facilitate on and off the job Competency Based Technical Training in both the classroom and field to develop skills and competencies in the area of expertise.  Assist to schedule and communicate learning programs. Follow schedules to ensure that programs are delivered as planned.  Assist to create competency-based learning materials so that learning programs delivered achieve their intended learning outcomes.  Assist to create competency-based assessment tools, professionally conduct on and off the job competency assessments in field of expertise to ensure standards are met.  Accurately record and report participant learning and assessment results so that participant records are consistently kept up to date and recorded in the company learning management system.  Respond to customer learning and development requirements. Provide appropriate technical support and advise in order to assist, meet/exceed customer expectations.  Perform other duties as required.  What You Bring To Freeport Have achieved a level of technical competence equivalent to that of an Assistant Instructor, master tradesperson, or similar level of proven competency and seven (7) years directly related work experience, OR  Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years directly related work experience.  Qualifications in the delivery and assessment of competency-based learning programs.  Skill in analytical thinking  Skill in the delivery and assessment of competency-based learning programs  Demonstrate behaviors that match technical training values, follow and apply Freeport-McMoRan Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures in order to be a role model for development program participants.  Demonstrate competence in the principles and application of competency-based learning so that development programs delivered and assessed meet Computer Based Development standards.  Understand and competently apply professionally accepted principles to adult learning so that learners are given maximum opportunity to develop job competence.  Travel of 75% or more  Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or GED  10 years of fixed plant experience  3G/4G Welding Certificate 

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $34.50 - $47.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. What We Require
